The charcoal ballerinas descending the staircase was inspired by a photo I found compelling for a couple reasons. First, I can't say enough about how amazing I think dancing and dancers are to watch. Dance itself, to me, is a form of artistic expression. Also, I loved the classic column it reminds me of parts of my old house. Architecture fascinates me as well.
